Incoming President Message 2019
Jennie Church - 2019 CREW Cleveland President
I am honored to be the 2019 President of CREW Cleveland. Thanks to the efforts of 2018 President Mary Gerding and many, many others, our chapter had a fabulous 30th anniversary year in 2018, highlighted by celebrating our 30th Anniversary Gala in September and hosting over 300 people from all over the country and Canada at the CREW Network Spring Summit in June at the Hilton Downtown. Now begins the task of building on those successes and working to make the next 30 years of CREW Cleveland as successful as the first 30 years by focusing on our core mission: the advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry.
I would urge everyone to take advantage of all that the CREW Cleveland chapter and CREW Network have to offer. Put those membership dollars to work! Attend our chapter's events to learn what is going on locally in the real estate industry and expand your network. Join a committee to help our chapter continue to do such great work. Fill out your CREWBiz profile to make sure everyone in the broader CREW Network can look you up when they need someone in Cleveland to help them out. CREW Network now has nearly 12,000 members in over 75 markets, including Canada and London. Use this vast network to help you in your profession. Need a broker in Seattle? An appraiser in Miami? Search the CREWBiz directory and you are likely to find someone to help. In my own practice, the CREWbiz directory has helped me connect with the right person even at the last minute. Being part of the CREW Network really does open doors.

Iconic Cleveland: The Redevelopment of Terminal Tower Lunch Event
March 6, 2019
A sold out CREW event took place on March 6th, at the historic Terminal Tower in downtown Cleveland. The event began with a tour of the Tudor-style Greenbrier Suite located on the 12th floor of the building. This floor was called home by brothers Oris and Mantis Van Sweringen, railroad kings who developed Terminal Tower in the 1920s. Following the tour of the space, attendees gathered in the beautiful library of the suite to listen to Mr. Tom Yablonsky with Downtown Cleveland Alliance give an informative and fascinating presentation on the history of Cleveland's most iconic property and how the redevelopment of Terminal Tower plays a key part in the continued transformation of the City, especially around Public Square.
CREW Cleveland & Akron Chapters Meet-up - Networking Event - March 27, 2019
CREW Cleveland ventured south on Wednesday, March 27th for a night of fun and festivities with our neighboring chapter, CREW Akron. Members of both chapters had the opportunity to mix and mingle, exchanging contacts over drinks and hors d'oeuvres at the Creekside Restaurant in Brecksville. Our chapter Presidents, Jennie Church of CREW Cleveland, and Julie Brandle of CREW Akron, kicked off the evening welcoming all those in attendance and encouraging members to not only utilize the power of CREW Network, but also that of CREW a little closer to home. Being less than an hour apart, our chapters often cross mutual business territory, which provides ample opportunity to expand our network.
