On Wednesday December 9th, CREW Cleveland gathered (virtually) to celebrate another great (albeit strange) year. The event started with announcing our 2020 CREW Award winners who have gone above and beyond for our chapter and the industry. Awards recipients this year were:
Following the awards, Pastry Chef Jennifer Richmond led the evening. She instructed us through a virtual baking class on making 6 different flavors of shortbread cookies (the recipe made a TON of cookies). Fun and laughter ensued as we poked fun at our less-than-professional baking skills. Even in a room (or screen) full of novices, Chef Richmond managed to coach us through beautifully. The cookies were delicious and the CREW friendships, even more memorable. This was a fun and interactive event and it was a great way to end the 2020 CREW Events and to kick off the Holidays!
