It’s been an honor….
Thank you CREW Cleveland for your support in 2018. The year brought heaps of activity and technology change. While Network’s June Leadership Summit in Cleveland and our 30th Anniversary Jubilee were the headliners, the Board was organizing and planning for the future. Historic hard copy documents were organized, scanned and populated into an electronic file system. We retired Cleveland’s direct telephone number and instead will publish Network’s general number for referral to our Administrator as needed. This fall CREW Cleveland’s eblast announcements moved to a new delivery platform. The Communications Committee introduced Instagram and Twitter postings while shoring up Facebook and Linked-in, keeping us current in social media circles. Local website design is under review for added improvements coming 2019. Be sure to check daily on the CREW Network blog to find member-to-member business opportunities and chapter leadership ideas.
Local networking events were at an all-time high (perhaps too many, we are studying preferences for next year). The Membership Committee enrolled 31 new members! Member recognition and contribution to their respective fields of expertise is flourishing with member speaking engagements, publications, and honors being announced in the quarterly newsletter.
Network membership topped 11,000. Twenty promising ladies (a record) received college scholarships and internships made possible by your contributions to Network’s Foundation. In September Network published a white paper addressing pay parity, earning national acclaim and heightening the thought leadership reputation of CREW.
CREW is growing both local and global. I have enjoyed my role this year and every year as a CREW Cleveland member. To our annual corporate sponsors, my sincere thanks for all that you make possible.
I plan to see you at the 2019 Kick-off.
2018 CREW Cleveland President
